Some issues can be resolved by switching web browsers, or by updating their web browser. Users can also open their browsers in incognito/private mode or disable all browser extensions except for WebRTC desktop sharing
When you join a Blackboard Collaborate Session, ensure you click ‘Allow’ on the pop up box that might appear. If you didn’t see the pop up box, try reloading the page. Your microphone will be muted when you enter the session. To unmute yourself, click the white microphone icon with the diagonal line through it towards the bottom of the screen.

In your Bb Collaborate session, navigate to the "Share Content" tab. Select on "Share Application/screen" in order to reveal the open applications on your computer (which can then be shared - you must have the application open for it to be available here.)Oct 20, 2020

Are you having trouble sharing content with your participants? Are you getting a message saying that the application sharing is starting but it does not start sharing?
In Windows, right click on the speaker icon in the system tray and choose Playback to modify the speaker volume, and choose Recording to modify the microphone volume.
One option would be to lock the course room so students only have access to the scheduled sessions. If you wish to keep the course room open for general use, it would be helpful to provide instructions directing students to which session they need to attend prior to the session.
It's best to let Mac OSX set the time zone automatically for you: Click the Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Date & Time. You may need to click the padlock icon to make changes. Click Date & Time, then select Set date and time automatically and choose an appropriate server for your region.
Collaborate can be quite demanding on your internet connection. Collaborate is smart, and will dynamically adjust your experience to enable you to remain in the session for as long as possible, but follow the steps below to ensure a successful session. Improve your Collaborate experience. If sharing your webcam, turn it off.
Support for Internet Explorer was dropped on March 21, 2019 due to dropping support for Flash plugins. Support for Windows 7 will end on January 1, 2021 due to all support from Microsoft ending in January 2020.
Application Sharing is available on Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (Chromium), with no plugins required. It is not yet available in Safari stable releases. It may be made available in a future Safari stable release.
