When you are watching a lecture recording in Blackboard click the bookmark you've just created. A prompt will ask you to enter the playback speed, 1.5 is entered as the default, but you can enter any decimal number. Click a Play button associated with your recording. Play button in the Blackboard Collaborate column. Play button in the Audio (MP3) or Video (MP4) column. The recording will open up in the embedded media player embedded.
You can view recordings in courses you are enrolled in. You may be able to download recordings. Moderators must allow session recording downloads for each session.
The recording player has the same look and feel as your Collaborate session. There is a Recording menu similar to the Session menu in your live sessions and recording playback controls.
Open the Chat panel at the bottom right of your screen to see the complete chat history of the recorded session.
If the moderator has allowed session recording downloads, you can download recordings and transcripts from the recording player Recording menu.
A session and its recording must be set to “shared” status in order for it to function or play in another course, whether or not this course is offered concurrently or subsequently to the present term. Edit the session in the original course shell to include the new course (s) that need to play the recoding.
The recording has no sound or users cannot hear the instructor. Run an audio check before a session to make sure the microphone works. Click the TALK button before actually talking.
If there's an echo sound when users talk, then someone's microphone is open. Make sure only one microphone is open at a time to avoid the echo.
