Coastal Carolina Community College evolved out of a need to provide higher education and training to the people of Onslow County, to improve their quality of life, to help them achieve their dreams, and to make this community a better place to live.
The College and Career Readiness program at Coastal Carolina Community College is designed for adult students who are working to improve their academic skills for the workplace or for future educational pursuits. This program will prepare students to successfully pass the official standardized high school equivalency test.
This Fall Semester, Coastal Alabama, along with all colleges in the Alabama Community College System, is upgrading to a new, easy-to-use student portal called OneACCS. The new system will replace myCA for all your student needs, including Registration, Financial Aid, payments*, and more for Fall 2020.
That consists of a website, which brings together all of the resources available whenever students, or anyone else on campus, encounter safety issues. Students were involved in the development of the website, which is optimized for mobile use.

In fact, successful students often find online classes to be more challenging than traditional classes, due to the additional reading and personal discipline that is required. Computers are available on campus in various locations. For more information, visit the Student Resources page.
Coastal Carolina Community College offers opportunities for the completion of courses outside the traditional classroom model such as Distance Learning. Distance Learning courses meet academic standards as established by the North Carolina Community College System and are accepted as part of the graduation requirement for an approved degree, diploma, or certificate.
Regular contact with the course instructor is required. Many Distance Learning courses require students to have one or more of their exams proctored. Though each course may have a customized layout based on how the Instructor has set up the class, all Blackboard classes will have basically the same functionality and the Welcome screen will look similar to the example below.
