Academic Programs

CDU today boasts colleges of medicine, science and health, and a school of nursing, all with undergraduate and graduate degree offerings, as well as certificate programs.

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is accredited by The WASC Senior College and University Commission.

All students have access to clinical sites, laboratories for hands on learning, simulation workshops and state-of-the art instructional technology.

Faculty

More than 38 percent of our full- and part-time faculty members are African American compared to 5 percent nationally.

Staff

Our staff members also reflect the diversity of our community. We employ three times the national average of African-Americans (36.1 percent vs. 9.4 percent), almost four times the percentage of Hispanic or Latino (16.2 percent vs. 4.9 percent) and almost three times the percentage of Asian staff members (8.9 percent vs. 3.3 percent).
