Use the microphone and camera icons along the bottom of the main stage or content presentation area. With your keyboard, press Alt + M to turn your microphone on and off. Press Alt + C to turn your camera on and off.

Collaborate Ultra recordings can be made inside any Blackboard Shell, and audio can be recorded via a computer microphone, headset, or even a cell phone. Collaborate Ultra can record your entire screen, allowing you to present documents, websites, or anything you need to display.
This means that the PIN you see only works for you in that session. You are not able to use the PIN in another session or share your PIN with another user. PINs stop working when the session ends. You must be joined to a session on a browser to use your phone.
Select a Camera If only one video camera is installed on your computer, Blackboard Collaborate automatically uses it when you preview and transmit video. However, if you have more than one video input device on your computer, you can choose which device to use.
To access your My Settings area, open the Collaborate Panel on the lower right side of the screen. Click the My Settings button at the bottom of the page. This will open your My Settings. Click Select Set Up your Camera and Microphone to set up your audio and video.Apr 9, 2019
Can Blackboard see if you opened other tabs? Blackboard cannot see if you have opened other tabs on your computer if a secure proctoring or lockdown browser is not installed on your computer. As an instructor, you can see when your students opened, started, and submitted tests and assignments with the Student Activity report. In general, this feature looks and functions the same whether you're working in an Original or Ultra course.
Muted attendees see a notification telling them that the moderator has muted their microphone. Note: Attendees can turn their microphone back on after being muted.

Select the “Attendees” Icon from the Collaborate Panel to view the all of the participants in the session. Attendees have microphone and camera settings in the same location as your own (at the bottom of the screen).
