Install the Building Block

In order to set up the new Blackboard integration, the BasicLTI Building Block must be downloaded.

Quick Configuration

Go to Ensemble Video Administration->Institution->LTI and Integrations. Instead of going through the many tedious steps of setting up the Blackboard integration, you can use the Quick Configuration which generates XML you can copy and paste into the Tool configuration in Blackboard.

Manual Setup

After the building block is set up, find it under your list of Installed Tools. Hovering over it will show a gray arrow next to it. Click it, then select Settings.

Default tool providers

By default, Blackboard Learn enables a tool called Application Authorization whose URL starts with https://developer.blackboard.com/. Blackboard Learn uses this system tool to authenticate REST-based applications. By itself, it doesn't grant access to any other applications.

This document provides an update to the original LTI Outcomes Management v1.0 specification [ LTI-OUT ].
