Main campus is situated in the UMed District of Anchorage and is adjacent to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Alaska Native Medical Center, Providence Hospital, and the University of Alaska Anchorage. APU shares a consortium research library with UAA.
APU’s main campus sits on 170 heavily wooded acres just a few miles from downtown Anchorage. Our campus includes academic facilities, residence halls, community gathering spaces, recreational facilities, winter and summer recreational trails, and magnificent views of the Chugach Mountains.
With the largest proportion of Alaska Native and American Indians of any city in the United States (per 2014 US Census), Anchorage is often referred to as “Alaska’s Largest Village”. APU is pleased to serve as a gathering place for community events that honor Alaska Native peoples and culture.
