192 hoursThe resident Airman Leadership School program consists of 192 hours of primarily guided discussion classroom methodology, experiential activities and exercises, and case studies. The Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) grants college credits for course completion.
Airman Leadership School, or ALS, is a 24-day leadership training program required for enlisted Air Force airmen planning to make a career out of the military. ALS is an entry-level part of what the military calls Professional Military Education or PME.
We prefer that everyone also register online at www.cdc.gov/als . However, it also is important for patients to register online. Registering online is the only way that participants can take surveys that enable them to provide more information about the disease.
Students who complete ALS earn 8 Community College of the Air Force credits by completing 192 hours of Course Foundation, Professional Airman, and Supervisory Concepts, in addition to various Communication Assignments and Drill & Ceremony.
The Airman Leadership School is accredited by the Community College of the Air Force. Upon graduation, students earn 9 college credit hours.
Airmen who fail professional military education twice must get approval to re-enroll. Airmen who twice fail out of their professional military education distance learning classes now must get the approval of one or more supervisors before they can re-enroll.Jan 26, 2016
