Courses appear in Blackboard 24 – 48 hours after enrollment or assignment in CUNYfirst.
You can administer exams to your students fully online using Blackboard. Throughout this web page, we are going to discuss the processes of creating exams, showing the student perspective of exams, and highlighting the recommended exam settings for CUNY Baruch users.
Blackboard is the CUNY-provided Learning Management System. Online courses are hosted and delivered through Blackboard, and many in-person courses use it as well.
Blackboard is accessed from the www.cuny.edu menu bar and from direct access URLs on campus websites. Access to Blackboard uses your CUNY Login credentials. If you have not claimed your CUNYfirst account on https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu/, you must do so before accessing Blackboard.
It may take as much as 72 hours for the Blackboard system to be updated from the registration information. If you recently registered in a course, please allow for the 72 hour period to end before contacting the BCTC Helpdesk.
Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.

Go to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu. Enter your username and password. Once you are logged in, on the left hand side under “CUNYfirst Menu” click 'Student Center' Scroll down to the 'Admissions' section and click 'View Details'
Blackboard is accessed via the bbhosted.cuny.edu link with your CUNY login credentials.
In that activation email, you will have a link to a web page on the York College website which provides you the standard format you need to use in order to log in for the first time to your account. The email itself should have provided your new email account ID. Use this ID to activate your new email account.
Access CUNY Office 365 at https://www.office.com/ and log in with your CUNYFirst log-in credentials.Your email address is your [email protected], for example: [email protected] your CUNYFirst password.
How to log into cunyfirstGo to home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu.Enter your cuny username.Then, enter your password.Click on “Log In” to access your portal.Don't forget to log out of your account.
