What is the Blackboard system?

Most of the classes use a system called Blackboard which can be accessed right through a common Web browser. This system has e-mail, discussions, chat, online testing and many other features that will enhance your overall online learning experience.

Why is online education important?

The online education program is designed to make a college education more accessible to those who cannot earn their degree in the traditional method because of work schedules or other responsibilities. Successful online students are independent learners who can manage time effectively.

Do online classes have the same start and end dates?

Online courses usually have the same start and end dates as the traditional classes, but you should refer to the current schedule of classes to be sure. Once the semester has officially begun, you can log into the course and write a note to say hello to your professor and fellow students.

How to find Blackboard Learn student ID?

If you do not know your student ID number, you can obtain this information in WebAdvisor by accessing "My Profile" under the "Students" section. If you experience difficulty accessing WebAdvisor, please contact Enrollment Services by email at [email protected] or by phone at (609) 343-5005. Please include all 7 digits of your student ID number, including all zeros (ie. 0003456). Your password for Blackboard Learn is your date of birth (mm/dd/yy) with no slashes (ie. 102070).

Can you take a test on Blackboard?

When you are taking a test in Blackboard, please make sure that you only have one window or tab open on the device you are using to take the test. If you are logged in to Blackboard on multiple devices or in multiple web browsers this could result in you being kicked out of your test.
