On the Course Content page, select the plus sign wherever you want to add an assignment. In the menu, select Create to open the Create Item panel and select Assignment. The New Assignment page opens. You can also expand or create a folder and add an assignment.

Due Dates allows users to set a due date for the assignment. To set a due date, check the box and use the date and time pickers to set the due date. The due date will be recorded in the students' To Do module, and will create a calendar entry for the student. If students submit an assignment past the due date, the system will mark it as late.

If you enter or edit grades in Blackboard, an override icon (orange arrow in the upper left) will appear in the cell, which prohibits the automatic grade sync or grade refresh from updating scores in that cell. If you ever want to undo your manual grade edit and resume grade sync from Achieve, please visit the Revert an override grade section in this article for instructions on clearing an override grade.
You can set gradebook categories in your Achieve course, but these will not transfer to Moodle. After adding Achieve assignments to Moodle, create gradebook categories in Moodle and move Achieve items into the new gradebook categories.
Any gradebook categories set in Achieve will transfer to D2L when you add the Achieve assignment to D2L. However, making changes to gradebook categories in D2L can interfere with automatic grade sync. If you need to edit the name of a gradebook category after you have already added an assignment with it to D2L, including any changes to capitalization or punctuation, or if you need to change which categories are associated with which assignments, follow the instructions below.
If you enter “0” as a value for points possible and enter the grade as the grade will display as entered, formatted as a number with two decimal places. If you enter a grade as a percentage it will display as entered without the % sign.
The name cannot be longer than 15 characters.
