About Blackboard

Blackboard is a campus wide system used to support online activities for many aspects of the UAlbany academic experience. From teaching and learning to student clubs to committees and student advising.

Knowledge Base for Instructor

Numerous resources are available to assist and guide you in using Blackboard to support your teaching and facilitate student learning outcomes. Quick start guides, self-paced tutorials, how-to articles, and links to Blackboard's product knowledgebase are available.

Knowledge Base for Student

Access self-help resources to learn how to use Blackboard, troubleshoot technical problems, and contact the ITS Service Desk for individual tech help.

System Add-ons

Link your Blackboard course with other platforms to create a central hub for seamless access to materials and assessment tools to help students succeed in their course work. You can think of these connections as Blackboard "add-ons" and they are also known as Building Blocks and LTI (learning tools interoperability).
